Caramelized Banana Peanut Butter Toast

Air-fried caramelized banana over peanut butter toast with dark chocolate and flaky sea salt — a 15-minute breakfast that tastes like dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 1 slice whole grain or sourdough bread, toasted
  • 1–2 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs or chopped dark chocolate (70%+ cacao)
  • Flaky sea salt, for finishing
Optional
  • Cinnamon or honey, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange banana slices in single layer in air fryer basket. Cook for 8–12 minutes until lightly caramelized and golden.
  2. Spread peanut butter over toast. Top with warm bananas and sprinkle with cacao nibs or chopped chocolate. Finish with pinch of flaky sea salt and cinnamon or honey if desired. Serve immediately.

Tip: Use a ripe but firm banana — overripe bananas will turn mushy in the air fryer rather than caramelizing. The flaky sea salt is not optional; it's what makes the whole thing taste extraordinary.
